About the artist

Isabelle Magnin is passionate about images! She began painting in oils at the age of 7 and has never stopped painting and drawing since. Equally attracted by the sciences, after training as an engineer, she pursued a career in medical imaging research at INSERM, before setting up her artist's studio in Saint Jean d'Aulps (Haute-Savoie).
Influenced by many of the artists who preceded her, Isabelle Magnin studied live models at the Beaux arts de Lyon. She also studied with A. Le Cleac'h, C. Sauzet, J.M. Relange and C. Debusschère. Drawing inspiration from "Conscious Nature" to create colorful paintings, the artist blends realistic drawings, imagination, dreamlike imagery and abstraction.
